David E. McNay, Air Force, Captain

Entered the Air Force Reserve on August 18, 1952 as a 2nd Lieutenant, later joining the United States Air Force on February 13, 1954. He served proudly as a jet fighter pilot, flying the AT-6, T-33, and F-86. He was promoted to Captain on December 9, 1952 and received the National Defense Service Medal for his service.
A born aviator, David also set world records in glider flight—both in distance and altitude.
We honor his courage, dedication, and love of flying. We miss him deeply and are forever proud of his service to our country.
