Welcome to the Cape Fear Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol (NC0002P's Wreaths Across America Page. 

On Saturday, December 13, 2025 (See location pages for ceremony and wreath placement details) at 12 Noon, the Cape Fear Composite Squadron, CAP will be helping the Wilmington National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Directions to Cemetery

The cemetery is located at 2011 Market Street in Wilmington, NC.  Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.

Parking Instructions

For the safety of those attending, parking is not available inside the cemetery during the ceremony.  The side streets provide adequate parking and limited parking may be found in adjoining businesses lots.  Temple Baptist Church, located at 1801 Market Street and two blocks from the cemetery, has opened their church parking lot to ceremony attendees.  

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Wilmington National Cemetery.

Please join on Saturday,  December 13, 2025 at 12 NOON, at the Wilmington National Cemetery, 2011 Market Street, to honor and remember our local heroes at our ceremony for National Wreaths Across America Day!  The formal part of the ceremony lasts approximately 45 minutes.  After this, all attendees are invited to participate in laying of the wreaths.

On Monday, 15 December, 2024, at 9:00 AM Wilmington Waste Management will be at the Cemetery to pick up the wreath cardboard boxes.  We will have about 500 boxes and volunteers are needed to help loading the dumpster truck.

Wreath removal date:  Wreath removal is scheduled for Friday, 23 January 2026.  We plan to start removing and stacking the wreaths at 9:00 AM.  Pick up time by Wilmington Waste Management is approximately 10:00 AM.  All volunteers are welcome.  Recommend you bring a rake, or item with a long handle, to facilitate wreath removal.  It only takes less that an hour to remove and stack the wreaths
